The College of SBS is deeply committed to high quality undergraduate and graduate education. We take our mandate as a student-centered research university very seriously, providing excellent instructional services at all levels of the curriculum from general education to Ph.D. supervision.

We use a variety of teaching methods including lectures, seminars, and practica. Many of our units use capstone courses and service learning so that our students can apply their knowledge more broadly.

Our talented and committed faculty create innovative programs and course offerings and garner many university, state, and national teaching awards. Our faculty accomplish this while maintaining rigorous and productive research and graduate programs. We create ways to include undergraduate students in our research efforts, and our ongoing research is essential to the quality of our teaching.
