Student Convocation
The Office of the Dean is pleased to announce the college Convocation Recognition Ceremony to honor graduates of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Our college ceremony will be Friday, December 18, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center Arena. The Convention Center is located at 260 S Church Street, Tucson, Arizona 85701 (downtown Tucson). Limited TCC guest parking available for $5 fee per automobile; additional parking within walking distance.
The ceremony will include individual recognition of each Undergraduate and Graduate degree recipient in attendance. The faculty of our college looks forward to seeing you and meeting your family and guests at a cake and punch reception immediately following the ceremony.
There is no charge for the graduate and children six and under are free. Each graduate may invite guests at a fee of $8.00 per person in advance and $10.00 at the door. We suggest that purchases be made in advance to help prevent delays the afternoon of December 18. Tickets are non-refundable. Please let us know that you are planning to attend by completing the Online RSVP or the paper RSVP and sending it with your fee to the Dean's office.
We ask that the graduates wear their cap and gown to the Recognition Ceremony. Graduates should arrive at the TCC North Exhibit Hall by 1:00 P.M. for alphabetical processional line-up; students will procession in and out of the arena. (Students only will be allowed in the line-up area).
Students checking in after 1:45 will not be included in the processional.
Please order your tickets right away! SBS has one of the largest graduating classes at the University and we plan to make this a memorable experience for all. Advance ticket purchase will guarantee your participation. Remember Guest tickets purchased at the door will be $10.00 each.
