University of Arizona Faculty Resources

There are numerous resources at the University of Arizona to support faculty teaching, research, and service goals.  

The University of Arizona's Human Resources department offers Professional Development workshops designed to enhance skills and competencies in management, communication, hiring, and more.

SBS Research Institute

The Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Institute (SBSRI) was created to provide administrative and professional guidance for faculty and students seeking and securing grants, exploring funding opportunities, and developing professional leave and other proposals.

Ensuring Access

The University of Arizona is committed to ensuring access for all faculty, staff, and students. Relative to teaching, the Disability Resource Center emphasizes the value of universal design in instruction, and works with faculty to create course delivery methods that are inherently accessible to reduce the need for individual accommodations.

General Education Resources
 

The University of Arizona's unique, interdisciplinary General Education program develops student's analytical skills as well as content awareness in specific areas of inquiry.

Technology

  • The University of Arizona offers twenty-four hour tech support online, in person, or via phone for accounts and passwords, information systems, hardware and software issues, workshops and trainings, and more.

  • The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences offers expert support for SBS faculty and departments in troubleshooting desktop, laptop, or printer issues, website development, graphic design, data management, e-commerce, application development and much more.
